Welcome to my little scrapbook. In the days to come, I hope to add more pictures to the collection. Meanwhile, I hope you'll enjoy what's here...
In December 2008, New Hampshire had another ice storm. Here's one little picture looking out my back porch. Most people say "Oh, how beautiful", but when the storm leaves you without power for 5 cold nights, it doesn't seem so beautiful.
In December 2005, I had a little visitor. Imagine looking into your wood stove and seeing this! Poor little guy, stuck half in and half out. To make a very long story short, the raccoon is still alive and well, and I now have a better chimney cap in place!
Hope it's not a big emergency!
Don't you hate it when you forget to put the darn parking brake on?
This is from a past issue of Discover Magazine (sorry, I forget from which issue I cut it out). Smooth ride? You bet!
This is from the cover of the April 2002 Discover Magazine. Pretty cool, eh? If you don't understand it (who does?), go pick up a cosmology book. Great stuff!
If true, I'll bet this would put a very quick stop to speeding!
An absolutely gorgeous B-17 coming in at treetop level to a landing on Runway 32 at Boire Field in Nashua, New Hampshire for the 2001 Aviation Heritage Festival (9/23/2001).
Here's a picture of my house, in snowy February 2001.
Here, by popular demand, is another one of those 3D pictures (see below for the first one I included.) This one includes two pictures of the planet Saturn. Hint: If you're not able to see the images of Saturn pop out at you, try putting your eyes just inches away from the screen, and then back away to more normal distances. Sometimes that helps to bring the hidden 3D worlds into focus.
Just a very clever and very funny jet paint job! Ooooops, sorry Santa!
Another very expensive paint job!
For a while, in July and August of 2001, we were lucky enough to have a beautiful replica of the famous Memphis Belle B-17 Flying Fortress parked here in Nashua's Boire Field. Here's a close-up shot.
Here she is again, just starting up her engines ready to taxi out (on 8/24/01), presumably to another air show. I hope she returns soon.
This is one of those 3-D pictures you might have seen advertised somewhere. Take a good hard look at it, and try to focus in BEHIND the picture. Can you see the floating candies? (Take your time...once you see it, it's really easy, and a lot of fun. Trust me.)
Here's another funny image. I don't know who is responsible for creating it, but I can only hope it was made with a photo-manipulation program and is not for real!
In March of 2001, I went down to Florida to visit my father. When I returned to snowy New Hampshire, here's what I found. Would you believe that's my mailbox!
Here's a friend of mine getting into his stealth fighter! (-:)
